Can we just sum up 2020 as the most trying and difficult year for so many people, especially the Church! Here at Bethel Tabernacle, we have suffered sickness, heartache, Salvation for sinners, healing, loss of family and church members to death...The list just goes on and on! BUT, ONE thing that has not changed and has remained: THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD!!! He has made himself known to us in the best and worst of times through out 2020, and now 2021. Yes, we are just now entering 2021, but God has had to be the firm foundation that we have stood on.
As I post this blog, I have been reminded of the song, "I still Trust You Lord", as well as "I'm not afraid to Trust Him" (See links below to view 😁). Even though I may not understand the ways of God, I will trust that what He is doing and allowing is designed to keep me in the center of His perfect will for my life. I will trust Him through all of the tragedy, sickness, and uncertainties of this present time and beyond!
I am reminded of the words of Paul, as he writes in Philippians 3:13-14, "13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." This is not to say that I do not remember the things that are behind me, but use them as a testimony. Do not dwell in the past, but be fervent as you PRESS towards those things that are ahead.
Church, our Savior is soon to return and it is not the time to fall back into sin, or tuck-tail and run: it is time to TRUST!
